Data Rights (GDPR)
Your rights over the personal data we hold about you
Your rights under GDPR & UAE PDPL
If you are a resident of the EU/EEA, UK, or UAE, you have the following legal rights over the personal data we process about you. These rights apply free of charge, and we respond within 30 days (with a possible extension of 60 more days for complex requests).
Right to access
Get a copy of all personal data we hold about you — account info, invoices, service records, support tickets, activity logs.
Right to rectification
Correct any personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete. Most fields can be updated directly from your client area.
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements (billing records must be kept 5+ years for tax law).
Right to data portability
Receive your personal data in a machine-readable format (JSON/CSV) that you can transfer to another service.
Right to object & restrict processing
Object to how we process your data, or ask us to restrict processing while a dispute is resolved.
Right to withdraw consent
Withdraw consent for cookies, marketing communications, or other processing based on consent. Use Cookie Settings to withdraw cookie consent.
Right not to be subject to automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that has legal effect. All business decisions involve human review.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority (e.g. CNIL in France, ICO in the UK, AEPD in Spain, Garante in Italy, UAE Data Office).
How to submit a request
Email your request to [email protected] and include:
- Which right you are exercising (access, deletion, portability, etc.)
- Your name and the email associated with your Whostpress account
- Any specific data or time range (optional)
If you already have an account, you can also open a support ticket from your client area under the "Privacy" department.
Verification
To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity before acting on a request. We may ask you to confirm details from your account or reply from your registered email address.
Data we hold
For a full list of what data we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy. In summary, we hold: account details you provide (name, email, address), billing records, service configuration, support-ticket history, IP addresses (for security & fraud prevention), and — if you consent — anonymised analytics.
